I Have Returned

•March 15, 2007 • Leave a Comment

After a crapload of time, I am back and posting. I was gone for two weeks while my mom was in Hawaii. Lucky. I wasn’t really on the computer for that entire time, and therefore wasn’t up to date on news. But, not much has changed. The PS3 still sucks, so does Bush, etc, etc. One thing I’m happy about is that Cross Country started in school. This means I’ll be running 2 – 3 miles a day, which is good. I need to get in shape. Not that I’m not already in shape. Let’s just say I’d like to be in better shape.

Random Crap

Okay. So. First off, snow day. Booyah.

Now that that’s said, we can move on.

I’ve really been finding ways of spending my time on the internet. It used to be playing World of Warcraft, and it still sometimes is. But I’ve found discovering and learning new things via the internet is really more enjoyable. With websites like digg, add-ons for firefox such as StumbleUpon and del.icio.us, using the internet is really more enjoyable for me. Sometimes, the only problem seems organizing this all. That’s where things like RSS feeds and email reminders come in.

To quote George Bush, “I hear there’s rumors on the internets.” Indeed, there are. It’s just a matter of finding them.

TWO POSTS IN 15 MINUTES?

Yeah, and this one is another EBGames review ownage. The history of cooties was good, read that too. And yes, I made it up. Even though it’s all COMPLETELY true.

So, this time we will be looking at some reviews for Final Fantasy XII for the PS2. Honestly, I will say I have never played the game. I am reviewing the ones that I absolutely know suck ass.

I’ve been playing FF games since it came out on Nintendo, and have always been a fan. This game let me down big time. I always love the story lines they come up with, but i was confused throughout this whole game as to what the heck was going on. The graphics were amazing, the characters were unlikeable, the story was garbage. I spent 31 hours playing FF12, hours that i could have been playing ultimate alliance or something worthwhile. I really hope the next installment out does this game. And where is the FF7 remake?????

Mmkay. First off, he sounds like EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER REVIEWED A MODERN FINAL FANTASY GAME. “I have been playing since the beginning, blah blah blah, omg the originals were the best blah blah.” Look, I could be totally wrong, but it sounds like he wants to be a retro-gamer and sound like he’s been gaming for all his life. Sure, gaming is great, educational, and fun. Sure, I like my fair share of retro-games but some people say own I honestly think suck. For instance, Castlevania. I despise that game. You move slow, your attacks are slow, you try 20 times to climb up a staircase without missing it. I’m just giving an example of a classic game that I think sucks, but other people think rocks. Whether they fake it or not. Next, his last statement is about a FFVII remake. That game was absolutely stunning, and I loved it like an emo loves razorblades. But I am sick an tired of all the little fanboys griping about a remake. Just play the damn game again if you like it so much. Plus, it totally contradicts with his previous statement about liking the classic FF games. So, you say the old FF’s with 2 dimensional low-pixelated graphics rock, then you ask for a remake of a PS1 game with graphics that suck by today’s standards? I smell a hint of hypocrisy in there.

This is the worst game ever because it has to many videos along with the characters.I thought this game would be the best, but I was wrong. The graphicsare nothing like ff7 dirge of cerberus.

All I can say to that guy is: I hope you know the difference between gameplay and cutscenes.

Okay this game reeks of Boring. Its not captivating at all. The battle system will get you frustrated and this is perhaps the most uninspired FF ive seen. Yes this game is very uninspired, the characters are just plain boring to look at, I could write a better story than Square did with this one, all the characters take a back seat midway through and most importantly the element of Role Playing is gone. you see there is no more naming a character no element of player creativity and no room for experimenting with the battle system. The worst part of it is I’m going to buy a PS3 for FFXIII and FFVXIII just cuz im a nut. I have got to work on money management. 1 star 4/10

First off, I would like to see you TRY and write something better than Square Enix wrote. The reason the storyline on this installment of the game is because it’s the TWELFTH GAME IN THE SERIES. I applaud them for being able to keep an audience for that long. I don’t know a longer running franchise than FF, except maybe Mario. But who doesn’t love Mario. He’s such a cuddly little plumber with a furry mustache.

With all that said and done, and with a few other reviews I read that are not posted here, it seems like people are annoyed of the new combat system and new style of gameplay. Honestly, GIVE IT A CHANCE. In one of the reviews posted here, a guy said he played the game for 31 hours, which I am assuming means he beat it. If he hated it so much, then why did he beat the game? Square Enix must have done something right to keep him captivated.

Cooties: The Complete History

•February 12, 2007 • Leave a Comment

WARNING: WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ MAY SOUND INSANE, AND I’M HERE TO SAY IT TOTALLY IS.

In the beginning, there was Earth. As the most primitive form of life began to form on Earth, there was also an organism that very few knew about. Cooties. These beings were created for the sole purpose of females being able to rule the Earth.

You see, my friends, when cooties were being formed they would attach on to these other organisms. But, the only organisms they were able to thrive in were what we now know as women. So, for a long time no man / male organism had cooties. Then, came teh smeckz. This is when cooties began spreading to males. Even if it was not teh smeckz, even contact with a female organism would make a small number of cooties infect the male.

When the male was infected, he was pretty much helpless against the woman. As you know, in the early years of partnership the man and the woman seem happy. But then the contact begins to rise, and it seems like their lives are at a climax. Then, they start to lose interest in each other, and the male pretty much gives up on the woman and does what she says.

That said, the process of fully infecting the male to a point where he will obey the female could take years. But, for the women, time does not matter. Their ultimate goal is to infect every male with cooties.

Cooties have also severe cases, which we know better as HIV and AIDS. These are extremely large amounts of cooties that infect someone at once, and causes the process of obeying to speed up. But, this is a flawed technique. Women can also get HIV and AIDS, but it does not effect them as severely. They will become more vulnerable to the male being able to control them, but with the amount of cooties the female constantly bestows upon the male, it hardly makes a difference.

The horror of it all is that cooties are still on the rise, even today. There is no cure.

Yes, the Inflammable Jeans are coming to a school near you! If you go to the same school as me, that is. And that’s the only one they’ll be going to. So ha.
Yes, some friends of mine are performing in a talent show type thing where people do acts. Except no winners is chosen, people just do stuff. The name of the band is Inflammable Jeans, and here’s the AWESOME part for me. I GOT TO DO THE ALBUM / LOGO ARTWORK! You can see it here. If they make an album, that will be the cover. It may be used as a background image during the performance, but who knows.

Finally Active

Well I thought I was going to spend a weekend on the computer, but on the contrary I got to go to a dance! The fun part wasn’t dancing. The fun part was messing with people. Will and I probably bugged quite a few people (though, it was him who bugged more people than I). I then went to a sleepover, and ended my day on a good note.

Today, I accomplished something I’m quite proud of. Tetris! It’s a simple version, but thats what tetris is about, simplicity. I’m hoping to get more into Flash.
